Email Sender ​

The Email Sender settings page allows you to customize the sender display name and choose how outgoing emails are verified and delivered to your customers.

Email Sender Settings ​

Email sender name: Enter the display name (e.g., yena-s) that appears in your cusomer's inbox as the sender of automated emails.

Verification Mode ​

Choose how outgoing transactional emails are authenticated and sent. Only one mode can be active at a time:

  • Emmail address: Verify a specific email address to use as the sender address.
  • Domain: Verify your custom domain to send emails using your own branded email domain.

Sender Address Selection ​

  • Select a verified address: Choose an active sender address from your dropdown list of verified emails.
  • Add email: Click + Add email or the Add email button inside the verification prompt banner to redirect to the Verified Emails page to submit and authenticate a new sender address.

Clicking + Add email or Add email will automatically navigate you to the Verified emails tab to complete the email verification workflow.

Domain Verification Mode ​

When selecting Domain under Verification mode, outgoing emails will be authenticated using your custom branded store domain.

Setting Up a Custom Sending Domain ​

  1. Select the Domain radio option under Verification mode.
  2. If your store has not connected a primary custom domain, a warning banner will appear: "Connect a custom domain to your store in Shopify before verifying a sending domain".
  3. Click the Set up a domain button inside the banner.
  4. The app will automatically redirect you to the Domains management page in your Shopify Admin (/admin/settings/domains).

Managing Domains in Shopify Admin ​

On the redirected Shopify Domains page, you can manage or connect your custom web domain:

  • Connect existing: Link a domain purchased from a third-party registrar (e.g., GoDaddy, Namecheap).
  • Transfer domain: Transfer an existing external domain management directly into Shopify.
  • Buy new domain: Purchase a new custom domain name directly through Shopify.
